A new lunchtime Bookclub was set up in the school in November 2019. We meet every two weeks in Room 17. Children from all class levels are welcome to join. At our meetings the children are given a chance to talk about the books they are currently reading and chat about different books and authors that they enjoy. The 5thand 6th class members have been busy writing letters to some Irish children’s authors and we have applied to be part of the Junior Juries Programme for the Children’s Books Ireland awards and hope to hear if we have qualified for this soon.
