ACTIVITIES

Students at Dunboyne Senior Primary School are always excited to get involved in our after-school activities. We provide a variety of options for all types of interests, and encourage students to find the best fit for them.

Digital Schools of Distinction Award

The school was awarded the prestigious Digital Schools of Distinction Award in 2019 which recognises excellence in integrating ICT into learning and teaching.

This was the culmination of a few years of work by all teachers and pupils and was a proud moment for the whole school community.

In June 2019, a validator from the Digital Schools Award team visited a number of classes in the school and spoke with the Teachers’ ICT Committee. He also spoke with the Pupils’ ICT Committee and was shown examples of the children’s work. He was hugely impressed with the ongoing projects in the school to integrate ICT into teaching and learning.

Today, we are continuing to further integrate ICT throughout the school for the benefit of all teachers and pupils.

FAI School 5s

The sixth class boys are currently preparing for the Meath qualifiers of the FAI Schools five a side tournament to be held on Friday, March 6th at the MDL, Navan.

Mr Keogh has been holding trials at Dunboyne AFC every Friday since Christmas. The school has a fantastic record in the competition and won the All Ireland title at the Aviva Stadium in 2016. We have also won numerous Meath titles over the years.

We would like to thank Ray King and Dunboyne AFC for the use of their grounds each year to prepare the boys for the tournament.
